I finally had a chance to try out this cozy little Italian spot, after all, I’ve walked past it at least 50 times. Guess I never really had the desire, given the options, but it was always on my to-do list. The location is awesome and its great for people watching. In the summer, they open up the doors and this is the ideal brunch place.
I went with a friend and we both got Panini’s, and it really hit the spot. This is the only place I know of in the west village that has Panini’s.
I had the chicken Milano Panini with avocado, mozzarella cheese, arugula, and tomato. It was light and crunchy. Try the Panini!
I’m looking forward to trying the Panini since our pasta dishes at I Tre Merli were not so great the night we ate here. Both the rigatoni and pappardelle were sticky lumps but the evening atmosphere and the open doors drew us in. A big sign said “sangria!” so I thought that sounded good but the waitress said they weren’t serving it… So panini it will be next time.
