Another tasty West Village Restaurant. This place is small, always packed, and has an open kitchen which adds to the buzz. I love the open kitchen’s because it adds to the fun of the dining experience.
They pride themselves on their pasta’s, so that’s what we got. I had the Pappardelle Integrale with duck ragu, pancetta, onion, carrots, rutabaga, asiago; very good. We also had the Tagliatelle alla bolognese, which hit the spot. Another solid gem to put in the rotation.
Same owners of L’Artusi…how can you go wrong?
I had heard this was a tough reservation to come by. So I went on a night when there was a blizzard in NYC and the restaurant was still full! This is one of those great places that serves delicious food that will stick to your bones. Although the menu changes seasonally, we ordered duck breast (tender and comes right off the bone), hangar steak (delicious), polenta and brussel sprouts. The coolest aspect of this place is the ability to watch the chefs cook right in front of you, so if you can try and score a table around them near the kitchen. The space is small with muted colors giving it a relaxed vibe. Definitely a great date spot and a place I would go again.
I recently ate at Dell’ Anima with a great friend, and all i can say is WOWWWW. Omg. This place is real deal. We sat at the chefs counter and from the minute we sat down, the experience kept growing better. We had the octopus salad and risotto for appetizers followed by pasta and the most amazing Pork Chop for the mains. Add some fine wine and a few cocktails and youre in for a treat.
The place was cozy and quaint but also humming to a tune that cant be replicated. If you like food, youll consider going. If you Love food, you wont hesitate and youll force your way in this week.
WOW
Love this Place!! Had the ORECCHIETTE pasta with pancetta, english peas, parmesan breadcrumbs. It has a nice crunch to it and doesnt hurt the wallet too much..only $20. This pasta is one of my newly found favorites!!!
