This is a very charming, rustic West Village restaurant. It’s in a nice old brownstone and has a small outdoor space out back. I’ve only had drinks here, but this place can and does get super packed during the weekends. A good place for drinks, and even better if you have a seat.
Super cool layout…wood everywhere with a cozy yet trendy and distinctive atmosphere. Get there early for dinner but do not expect a huge menu or to be blown out of the water by the food – come here more if if you want a unique woodsy layout that is on the romantic side but still fun with some energy. If the weather is nice and on a date the back patio is charming but if winter i.e. now avoid it. Worth checking out but not a eat here on the regular spot based on limited menu. Night life is cool but super packed…on the other hand I’d consider it a go to if you are not sure where to find a crowd – there will be one here.
Stopped here for a nice Mccallan with a friend, and they had a live bluegrass band playing…very cool…
Trendy date spot with a cool, west village vibe. It is one of those places that just sets the right tone for the night no matter the affair. Now to the food, the tuna tartare was slightly on the bland side but the raviolis we ate were solid. They were stuffed with lobster and were just creamy enough not to be too rich. I was seriously impressed with that dish. Too bad it was a Tuesday night because the drink menu looks different and just waiting for me to be imbibing in a big way next time I go there.
