Another West Village gem. Very warm and visually appealing restaurant. It has a very comforting feel. The one downside I’m told, is the wait. The first time I went at 5 and had a few drinks upstairs. The second time they said there was an hour wait; but a spot opened up at the bar, which was perfect. I don’t really remember what I ordered, which typically means it didn’t wow me, but I remember the food being good.
This place has really cool artwork and paintings of pigs and cows etc. Very cool vibe and bar spot, if you don’t have to wait too long. Personally, waiting an hour for dinner ruins the process.
I havent been to this place in a while but I can still taste the Ricotta Gnudi with Brown Butter & Sage as though it was yesterday. HIGHLY recommend that dish if you have any clue what you’re doing.
I had dinner here last Thursday and it was terrific, except for the long wait
